ATHENS SIGHTSEEING HALF DAY WITH ACROPOLIS MUSEUM

This tour is an excellent way  to discover the fascinating diversity  of  Athens.

The Tour starts with a short stop at Panathenaic Stadium  where the opening and closing ceremonies of the first modern Olympics in 1896 were held.
The tour Continues with a visit at the Prime Minister’s residence (ex Royal Palace) the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Hadrian’s Arch, the Parliament and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier guarded by the Presidential Guard Evzones (also known as Tsoliades), the Academy, the University, the National Library, the Constitution Square (Syntagma).

On the Acropolis we will have the chance to visit the Monuments of the Golden Age of Athens: The Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally the Parthenon an enduring symbol of Ancient Greece, Athenian democracy and western civilization and one of the world’s greatest cultural monuments.

Last stop is the New Acropolis Museum where you can admire the wonders of the classical era. Nearly 4,000 objects are exhibited over an area of 14,000 square metres.

N.B. 1) Due to certain restrictions in the visiting hours of the new Acropolis museum the order of the program can be changed.

N.B. 2) Clients staying at the coast will be transferred back to their hotels with the Cape Sounion Tour bus.
